Perth-based artist Adele Naidoo’s journey from kindergarten teacher to full-time artist began six years ago with a passion for floral art. Alongside her husband Jayd, they’ve built a successful art brand, now expanding into 3D sculptures that reflect both their creative and architectural influences.
For Perth based artist, Adele Naidoo, she first started focusing on her art six years ago, and initially became known for her floral artwork.
Adele says: “Flowers will forever be my muse – their form, curves and colour. How they evolve, grow, withstand environmental factors and then bloom.”
While mum of two Adele was initially a kindergarten teacher by trade, it was the chance to move to the fast-paced city of Shanghai for a two-year stint with her family that changed everything for her.
After focusing on floral art and following a move back to Perth, her and husband Jayd Naidoo decided to take the plunge and focus on her art full time.
Adele began focusing on her art and Jayd dedicated himself to the business side of things, as they gave themselves a 12-month deadline to see what would be possible.
Adele says: “My floral artwork was really well received, and things just snowballed from there and we have been fortunate enough to establish a well-known art brand over the past few years that has been featured in some of Australia’s top homewares and interior brands.”

However, as an artist Adele was looking to grow and evolve, as she continued experimenting and moved into creating 3D sculptures, which now make up about 80% of her business.

Her sculptures are collaborative collection with her husband Jayd Naidoo. Jayd’s architectural background with Adele’s love of flowers provide the inspiration behind these pieces.
She says: “Experimenting with sculptural form allowed us to purely let movement be showcased and strip everything else away. I love the simplicity and effortless look, but creating our sculptures is very much a deliberate process.”
